  • ABOUT:  Denny Brownlee

  •         Since the age of five, “Denny voices” have been entertaining - whoever would be his audience!  Inspired by his dad’s Yogi Bear impression and a neighbor’s movie star voices, little Denny tried a Jimmy Cagney impression for a roomful of grown-ups… they genuinely laughed!  Wowww… And so, from kindergarten to college degree, the voices in his head kept coming out of his mouth – earning A’s on book reports and college finals, entertaining classmates and friends, and getting him in trouble with teachers who were "not amused!"
As a young adult, recently transplanted from his native Michigan to Charlotte, NC, Denny used his impressions to win a radio contest, and soon became a mainstay comedy writer and voice talent for the John-Boy & Billy Big Show.
Soon after, using an Irish brogue in a stage production, he met his talented future wife, Sandy.  The following year, he recorded the holiday classic, “Blue Christmas” in the voice of a famous stuttering cartoon pig.  Within a year, the song went pre-computer era "viral.”  Now, decades later, "Blue Christmas" by Seymour Swine can still be heard around the world each holiday season.
Since then he and Sandy have spent many years writing and performing drama and comedy for stage, television, radio and feature film, including Denny’s 12 years as a morning radio cohost for Family Life (Network.)
Offering his voice(s) to serve others is a natural fit for Denny.  In recent years he’s become active as an emcee for a professional business group, and his friendly, sincere, conversational style of delivery has found a niche in online learning courses and narration.  His acting skills (including six feature films), comic timing, dialects and character voices make him a great choice for commercials and animation as well.  And with a wealth of writing credentials, Denny becomes a creative "double-threat," and he’s happy to offer his services with both creating copy – and delivering it.
